Agip Recital Hall of the MUSON Centre played host to lover of arts, artistes,scholars, students and artisans who trooped out enmasse to watch the much anticipated musical by Wole Oguntokun ‘Jagua Nana’ an adaptation of Cyprian Ekwensi’s book.
‘Jagua Nana‘ is a story about the struggle of survival every human has to go through in life while also enumerating the extent to which some individuals can go to achieve such feat at the detriment of others. It was as hilarious as it was educating and entertaining. Guests reveled at the expertise and professionalism of the actors on stage.
The one hour thirty minutes play featured phenomenal performances from the lead actress Ashionye Michelle Raccah who played the role of the famous fictitious character ‘Jagua Nana’, Muyiwa Odukale as ‘Otunba Taiwo’, Dolapo Ogunwale as ‘Rosa’and Olarotimi Fakunle as ‘Freddie’ amongst a host of other talented actors and musicians.
The evening ended with a cocktail event that had the guest reeling with unabashed bliss.
