One of Africa’s greatest musician,social preacher,freedom fighter,father is the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti a man who gave all he had to fight against injustice and oppression in the Nigeria society,One of Nigeria’s greatest musical export to the world. A legend,a phenomenon.
His death on August 2nd 1997, was rather a shock to the world. But his family came up with the annual “FELABRATION” festival to celebrate the life and times of the legend. This event over the years has been a tool for oneness,change and for most artiste in Nigeria a time to be together at one same place. The event over the years has taken different dimensions and its one event Nigerians look up too.
In preparing for the 2014 event,One of Nigeria’s creative guru’s, art lover and an architect whose great works include the redesigning of what is know at “Freedom Park” a former colonial prison to a fun loving art/cultural center today and also the redesigning of the residence of the legendary Afrobeat artiste, Fela Anikulapo-kuti into a museum named Kalakuta Museum Mr Theo Lawson,has come up with these though provoking “teasers” for the FELABRATION 2014… With the theme “Who no know go know”
