Memories of what happened during the just concluded Lagos Black Heritage Festival 2015 is still fresh in the minds of the people who trooped down to Freedom Park Lagos to enjoy the festival.
One of the biggest highlight of the stage play is the premier of the “Beatification of Area Boy” a play written/directed by the Nobel Laurel Prof, Wole Soyinka.
The Play itself was written in 1990 during the Military era of General Sani Abacha. The Play brought the essence of “Freedom Park Lagos” alive,worth remembering it was also staged to mark the 5th year anniversary of the park. From the beginning to the end,the play had everyone spell bound,the whole of the park was used a stage for the play. Among the cast of the stage play include,Wale Ojo,Sir Peter Badejo(OBE),Ropo Ewenla,Otunba Tunji Shotimirin and also Music Maestro Mr Tunji Oyelana.
