Day 1 of the 2015 Lagos Black Heritage Festival saw more than its expected turn out, as people from different works of life came around to enjoy the celebration of culture, arts and tradition.
Right on schedule before the event was declared opened by the Commissioner of Tourism and the 2015 Festival Consultant Prof, Wole Soyinka and other dignitaries that came for the opening of the festival,was a cultural display of masquerades from various groups including the “Akaka” group, “Egungun” masquerade, and the “Aziza” masquerades. And not also forgetting the famous “Zangbeto” Masquerade from Badagry
And after the brilliance performance of acrobatic display at Freedom Park, the Masquerades hits the street of Lagos for a procession around the Lagos Island. It was wonderful,colorful and exciting.
