It was a grand affair as Intercontinental Distillers Limited, Nigeria’s leading indigenous distillery brand, unveiled the Emperor and Eagle brands of Aromatic Schnapps. Also, it was an occasion for the company to reward loyal distributors across Nigeria.
The event which was held at the prestigious hall of the Ikeja Lagos Airport Hotel was anchored by ace comedian, Koffi. Then Mr Yemi Pedro, the company’s Research and Development Manager, kicked off the event with a short prayer. At which point Koffi introduced the management team of Intercontinental Distillers Limited to the audience. Beginning, of course, with the erudite MD of the company, Chief Patrick Anegbe and his wife Mrs Dorothy Anegbe, Board of Directors, Dr Ishmael Jikiri Igbani,GM(Audit and Control) Mr Imore Akpan,Plant Controller,Shine Adegoke,Head of Marketing Moboloji Alalade and the rest
And then the Managing Director, Chief Patrick Anegbe, delivered the opening address, where he stressed how important it was for them to rebrand the Eagle Schnapps bottle, as the market had been flooded with fakes. The quality and class of Emperor and Eagle Aromatic Schnapps had always set it apart from the rest, however. In his speech, Chief Anegbe stressed the need to buy and encourage made in Nigeria products and services. This cannot be truer in this recession where we need to buy ‘naija to grow the naira’.
After the MD’s speech, Segun Adefila’s crown troupe of Africa gave an outstanding theatrical performance. The performance was a theatrical statement highlighting the beauty, importance, and essence of Nigeria’s culture and heritage.
After the performance, the Alake of Egba land, Oba Micheal Babatunde Gbadebo, was invited to the podium to unveil the new look of the Eagle schnapps bottle. As the Kabiyesei blessed and launched the bottle, the theme of the event, The gods are wise, could not have been more apt.
After the unveiling, the names of the 2015 outstanding distributors were announced by Mr.Vincent Orhomre, the National Sales Manager. These distributors were rewarded handsomely.
Meridian Marketing Company in Port Harcourt won the gold award, for the best customer of the year, having delivered a turnover of over 500 Million naira.
And yes, the new Eagle schnapps is now available in the market for consumption and for daily celebration.
