Nigeria’s first online cultural art magazine ‘Asiri’ is scheduled to release a Review on the life and times of Madame Efunroye Tinubu in partnership with CATE at the 15th Lagos Book and Art Festival 2013.
CATE, which coordinates the children section of the festival will also organize a GREEN FESTIVAL’ on the side-lines of LABAF and features a series of child-friendly activities.
There will be a session tagged Talking Books with CATE”. It will showcase some famous people in the history of Lagos namely; Herbert Macaulay, Madame Efunroye Tinubu, Olufunmilayo Ransome Kuti and Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
An Art and Photo Exhibition will feature some of the above named personalities and others who have helped shape the history of Nigeria, this session is in partnership with ASIRI MAGAZINE and the Museum of Nigeria Photo History.
This festival is set to educate, inform and also bring back the reading and creative culture of the people.
The festival will start from the 15th of November 2013 to 17th.
Venue: Freedom Park, Broad street Lagos Nigeria.
I like the use of a Yoruba word like Asiri…for the name of a Magazine…Asiri though means secret it also connotes what we have opened (to see) before. What a very apt name for a mag!!
