The people of Ile-Ife have an Olori. Over the weekend, 12th  March 2016, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi got married to Wuraola Obanor, who is now the Olori.

As tradition demanded Oba Ogunwusi was not present at the wedding which took place in the bride’s family home at Benin Edo State. It was his father, HRH Omooba Oluropo Ogunwusi who represented him and after the traditional rites were performed brought the new Olori to Ile-Ife.

A thanksgiving church service was held yesterday at the Palace in Ile-ife to celebrate what many consider the first couple of Yoruba land.

The Thanksgiving ceremony had a lot of dignitaries in attendance, high chiefs from Benin,Politicians,Business men and other traditional heads were at the ceremony to pay homage to the Ooni of ile ife,Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) and his new Olori.
