Goethe-Institut Nigeria invites you to 12 SQUARES, a Performance Art Presentation holding today, December 4 at the Lagos City Hall (Rooftop), 30 Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island, Lagos. The event is billed for 4pm. Entry is Free.
During a 10-day workshop, the Berlin-based performance group Monster Truck worked with a group of 13 participants from across artistic disciplines to examine strategies of performance art in historical and contemporary contexts.
The participants also focused on the practical approach and will showcase their respective projects during the presentation. Featuring will be Irawo Drumline, Bhucee-Ijo, Clara Aden, Razaq Ivori, Rigobert Sileu, Yacoub Adeleke, Olajide Akoni, Bala Stephen Afen‘oko, Akrah Joy Princess, Shola Phebian Oguntoyinbo (House of Phoebe), Tanmola, Bimbo Olorunmola and Anyalewechi Alozie.
After the presentations, Sebastian König, Sahar Rahimi, and Ina Vera of Monster Truck will join video artist and art curator Jude Anogwih in conversation. FAREWELL, a short film (dir. by Sahar Rahimi), which premiered at LagosPhoto 2014 will be screened after the discussion.
